BASIC FINE ART TECHNIQUES FOR ADULTS AND TEENS.
Explore various drawing and painting media, learn about composition, design and perspective;  study shape, color and geometry in nature and architecture & learn how to apply this knowledge to create original artwork.
Students at any skill level welcome. The instruction is geared to the skill level of individual students. Question-Answer period during each session. Hands on experience and "real life" demonstrations.

During the sculpture class, students learn about sculpture techniques and varieties of tools and materials. With hands on experience, they create 3d artwork out of clay, learn how to make molds and how to duplicate  their work by casting in different materials. They also learn varieties of finishing techniques, patinas, imitation bronze, faux finish and mounting and display principals as well.

By using varieties of brushes, materials and    proper techniques, students learn the basics of painting by hands on experience.  Brief introduction to history of art and basic principals of esthetics and creative designing process are being discussed during the sessions. Students also get information about supplies and suppliers.

First time student Brendan, learned about composition, varieties of brushes and how to use them. By working with one color, he learned to mix different shades of the color and applied them in balance with the composition. He also learned about frames, how to design, make and finish the frame.
